✓Warm, supportive attitude toward children and reliable
✓Flexible in receiving assignments or adapting to changes in the program.
✓Willing to accept supervision in order to improve performance.
✓Must be willing to perform other duties as required.
✓Students, youth and teacher aides may assist in the care of children provided that they:
✓Are 14 years of age or older and at least five years older than the oldest child in the group.
✓Assist only under the direct supervision of an early childhood teacher or a school-age worker; and
✓Are not counted for purposes of maintaining staff /child ratios, except as provided in Section 407.160(d)
✓Must be physically able to perform the job of an early childhood teacher (e.g. able to lift children and/or equipment up to 40lbs; able to stoop, bend, sit and stand for extended periods of time).
