Education
✓Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 36 semester credits in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Immersive Education (EiEd), Early Childhood, or Special Education.
✓(Option 1) 60 semester hours (90 quarter hours) from an accredited college or university with 6 semester hours (9 quarter hours) in courses related directly to child care and/or child development up to age six
✓(Option 2) One year (1560 hours or more) of child development experience in a nursery school, kindergarten, or licensed day care center and 30 semester hours (45 quarter hours) of credits from an accredited college or university with 6 semester hours (9 quarter hours) in courses related directly
Qualifications
✓(Option 3) Completion of a credentialing program approved by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.
✓One year of early childhood or grade school classroom experience.
✓Ability to have a warm, supportive attitude toward children.
✓Reliable and flexible in receiving assignments or adapting to changes in the program.
✓Ability to accept supervision in order to improve performance.
