RCC Team lead, under the direction of the RCC Supervisor, will be responsible for working as a Communication Specialist or Flight Coordinator with these additional duties:Manages immediate issues during shift and escalates as needed to leader on call. Air traffic controls shift work for team. Must be able to perform Communication Specialist or Flight Coordinator job duties and perform the additional assignments listed below.
Oversee the Communication Specialists & Flight Coordinator, documentation, and staff assignments. Ensure the RCC and RMCC workflows are followed. Calling staff to cover for absences: If cannot find coverage, may be require working in addition to regular scheduled work time.
Provide support to staff in challenging situations, assist and lead in events or demanding situations requiring escalation. Knowledge and assist with educating & reeducating team members regarding new workflows, procedures, protocols, and practices. Address issues as they arise professionally and if unable to resolve escalate to RCC Supervisor, as appropriate.
Report any concerns or safety issues involving the RCC to RCC Supervisor. Attempt to deescalate volatile situations within the RCC and report accordingly. Monitor and control noise level.
Help promote teamwork and boost morale with all teams within the Clinical Command Center. Work closely with RCC Supervisor. Maintain any certifications, licensure or education classes required to be team lead.
Assume Incident Commander Role within the RCC/RMCC during disaster events. Maintains knowledge of RCC/RMCC backup location and operations.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum two years' emergency medical experience. Should be knowledgeable in radio communication.
Some medical knowledge required. Must have NAACS certification or obtain within 1 year. Work
