Responsibilities Emergency Room (ER) Technician Reporting to the Director of Emergency Services the ER Technician is responsible to administer patient care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse. Follows the plan of care set by the registered nurse and/or physician, managing the individual needs of the patient with regards to their age and clinical diagnosis. Performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties in the Emergency Department in order to ensure and maintaining smooth patient flow.
The E. R. Technician has specialized skills and knowledge in Emergency Care for all patients from infancy through geriatric.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association. Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) certification required within 90 days of hire. EMT, CNA or Medical Assistant required –OR- Currently enrolled in RN program with successful completion of 2 semesters of clinical coursework.
