✓Requirements
Licensure
✓per licensure requirements.
✓Currently licensed as an MRT or Certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Registry Eligible (must become registered within the first year of hire) and/or Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (R)
Certifications
✓Must have and maintain current CPR certification, according to unit-specific needs.
✓Certification must be per the curriculum of the AHA for the Healthcare Provider’s Program.
Education
Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or Cardiovascular Technology Program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) is desirable. preferred
A Bachelor's or Associate of Science degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Cardiovascular Technology is desirable. preferred
Qualifications
✓Current compliance with Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements for specialty(ies) as appropriate.
✓Work experience:
✓Knowledge of the healthcare field.
✓Knowledge of specific assisting tasks related to a particular medical specialty.
✓Knowledge of information that must be conveyed to patients and families.
At least one year of experience in abdominal, small parts, neurosonology, and OB/GYN studies is desirable. preferred
Bilingual (English, Spanish) status is desirable Skills: preferred
