Certifications
✓Current CPR certification or obtained within 30 days for new hire
Education
✓High School Diploma or Equivalent required
Qualifications
✓Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
✓Direct Patient Care. Computer Skills relating to various EMR & Radiology Imaging Systems, PACS
✓Machines : Various technical systems including but not limited to: IV Pumps, Suction Machines, RIS (Radiology Applications), EMR, PACS, Various office equipment (including but not limited to fax, copier, scanner, digitizer, CD Burner), Telephone skills.
✓Equipment: Wheelchairs, Gurneys, Steris Chairs, Geri Chairs, Walkers, Gait Belts, ambulatory Aids
✓Administrative : The Technical Assistant shall transport patients to and from the department in a timely fashion with concern to patient comfort and safety.
✓He/she will have communication skills necessary to deal with nursing units, technologists and physician staff.
✓He/she is responsible for ensuring appropriate paperwork is transported with patients.
✓He/she will assist with office work, plus other duties when needed, and keep the Department in a clean, orderly fashion.
✓He/she must be able to concentrate on the task at hand and consistently follow procedures, must demonstrate adaptability, flexibility, cooperation and maintain an attitude of professionalism while strictly adhering to all hospital and department safety regulations, guidelines, policies
✓Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position.
Experience in a healthcare/direct patient care setting preferred
