Ensure chart readiness prior to patient visit. 2. Neutralize patient’s glasses and set prescription into Field Analyzer. 3. Instruct patients on and administer visual field tests.
Record information in patient’s chart. 4. Complete charting and ensure doctor has seen results and discussed abnormal results with patient. Conduct follow-up with patient if results are normal, and schedule return appointments. 5.
Complete patient charge tickets. Enter ICD-9 Code based on physician’s diagnosis. 6. Occasional filing and/or follow-up tracking of lab and x-ray reports. 7.
Maintain COA and BLS certification. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. One to two years ophthalmology/ optometry group experience preferred. CPR certification required and COA required.
