The Electrophysiology Lab Tech provides appropriate care in the EP lab. Circulates, scrubs and records diagnostic and interventional procedures. Operates appropriate medical equipment and software.

This position also interacts professionally with customers and staff Responsibilities Assists physician as necessary to provide support during all procedures. Educates patient regarding pending procedure and answers all questions and concerns to the patient’s satisfaction. Ensures patient safety and comfort with regards to table pads and back support in preparation for procedure.

Ensures all pertinent documentation is complete prior to start of procedure. Utilizes appropriate sterile techniques to prevent contamination and transfer of infections. Stays abreast on all equipment functions and associated precautions and hazards of all equipment used.

Provides necessary support to maintain proper equipment function.
