The position would Identify, evaluate, and commercialize the technologies developed by faculty at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Assist inventors with the development of invention disclosures and evaluate new inventions for product and market potential.

Identifies, evaluates, and commercializes the technologies developed with the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Position Key Accountabilities: Assists inventors with the development of invention disclosure. Evaluates new inventions for product and market potential.
Researches scientific, patent, and commercial publications and attends scientific seminars. Assists in licensing strategies, and conducts negotiations with potential licensees. Meets with inventors to identify product/market potential of invention and identify potential licenses.
Administers complex active license and related research agreements. Maintains appropriate company and marketing database. Maintain license compliance.
May lead projects and activities. Performs other duties as assigned. Certification/Skills: Preferred

Technology Commercialization Specialist: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Chemistry, Biology, or related field required Master's Degree preferred Senior Technology Commercialization Specialist: Doctorate Degree in one of the Life Sciences or Law required Minimum
Technology Commercialization Specialist: 2 years of applicable experience required May substitute required experience with equivalent years of education beyond the minimum education requirement. Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects. Security Sensitive: This position is a security-sensitive position pursuant to Texas Education Code §51.215 and Texas Government Code §411.094. To the extent that a position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Texas Business and Commerce Code §117.001(2), the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired for and to continue to be employed in that position.
