Licensure
✓Seeking to hire PAs or NPs who reside or hold licensure in one of the following areas (Puerto Rico, Guam or Virgin Islands) with ability to obtain multiple state licenses per regional assignment: PR, GU or VI
✓Valid and unrestricted professional PA or NP license in the state which you reside
✓NP or PA licensure in Puerto Rico, Guam or Virgin Islands (PR, GU or VI)
✓Ability to apply for 10+ additional assigned state licensures within 2 weeks of hire date
Certifications
✓Practices within mandated scope of licensure/certification
Education
✓Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP) Program or Physician Assistant (PA) Program
Qualifications
✓Collaborative physician agreement if applicable based on state scope of practice regulations
✓1+ years as a PA or NP in a clinical environment including oversight of ancillary and clinical staff and caring for adults
✓Experience conducting assessments on wide variety of acute/chronic conditions
✓Proven experience utilizing electronic health record (EHR) platforms to document, review, and manage patient information
✓Proven excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
✓Ability to work one or more of the listed schedule requirements including one weekend rotation per month
✓All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy
2+ years clinical experience in a health care delivery system preferred
VA and/or military experience preferred
Experience working in a Virtual setting preferred
Experience working in a call center environment, handling a high volume of calls and performing repetitive tasks while maintaining quality and productivity standards preferred
Proven leadership experience including the ability to supervise, coach and develop staff using excellent interpersonal and communication skills preferred
Familiarity with government forms and documentation preferred
Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office and database experience preferred
Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills preferred
Proven excellent social and therapeutic communications skills preferred

About the role

The Optum Serve Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner provides clinically competent delivery of quality virtual medical care services required during Optum Serve operations. The PA or NP is responsible for providing clinically competent medical care services, within their scope of practice.
