Sentara is currently hiring a Monitor Technician to work at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital on the Telemetry Monitor Surveillance team. Hours/Shift: Full-time, night shift. Approximately 7pm to 7am Department/Position Overview: Our 12-bed cardiac unit provides specialized care for patients with complex cardiovascular needs in a close-knit, team-focused environment. Observes, recognizes, interprets, evaluates, and documents EKG tracings on telemetry-monitored patients in order to detect deviations from patient's norm. Promptly notifies appropriate personnel of dysrhythmias. Operates and utilizes monitoring system to full capacity. Ensures proper and safe functioning of the telemetry equipment. Education High School Diploma or Equivalent Certification/Licensure
