About the role

The Telemetry Technician, under the direction of the Registered Nurse (RN), is responsible for facilitating the telemetry monitoring of patients on a shift-to-shift basis.

What you’ll do
Monitor Cardiac RhythmsContinuously observe patient cardiac rhythms and ensure accurate ECG readings are maintained
Interpret ECG DataAccurately interpret and report changes in ECG rhythms to the registered nurse promptly
Telemetry Equipment ManagementPrepare, maintain, and clean telemetry equipment, including replacing batteries and ECG leads prior to patient admission and post-discharge
DocumentationAccurately document ECG data, including rate, rhythm, and interval measurements, in patient records to communicate ECG history for multidisciplinary review
Patient TrackingAssist in tracking patient locations during off-monitor procedures, including those requiring transport to other departments, and ensure ECG rhythm visualization upon patient return
