Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients as described in unit/department-based competencies, policies, and procedures. Required Education and Experience Certification as an MA, CNA, PCT, EMT, or HHA in the state of Kansas OR at least one semester of Nursing School Required License/Certifications/Registrations Current BLS/CPR card prior to participating in patient care activities. Successful completion of on the job training for sterile technique, maintenance of sterile field and instrument care/handling (Obstetrics and Surgery) Successful completion of on the job EKG and phlebotomy training (Emergency)
Preferred Education and Experience Previous exposure to a medical environment. Preferred License/Certifications/Registrations Certification as a MA, CNA, EMT, or HHA in the state of Kansas Phlebotomy Technician PBT (ASCP) Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities : Basic computer skills. Moderate computer skills required for Telesitter.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively. Basic knowledge of medical terminology. Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
