Description

Responsibilities Alabama Licensed Therapist MA/MSW MUST HAVE availability to attend an 8- business day Orientation from 8a-4p without interruptions. The Licensed Therapist provides social services and individual, family and group therapy and case management services on acute and residential units under direction of the Director of Social Services. Assigned cases may vary somewhat depending on experience and specialty areas.

About Hill Crest Behavioral Health Hill Crest Behavioral Health Services is a robust, free-standing psychiatric hospital offering dedicated services to adolescents and adults from the surrounding Birmingham community. With an average census of 150 patients, Hill Crest features acute inpatient, residential, and group home settings. must have a current Alabama State Board of Examiners License in Counseling. Qualifications We train you to be the best, but there are a few minimum requirements for this position: Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Master’s degree in a Counseling/Mental Health Related field. Current license as an ALC or LPC in the State of Alabama is required.

Ability to establish rapport with a multiple disciplinary team and assist patient to work toward recovery and to sustain health. Experience and credentials for areas served and specialized interventions (adventure-based counseling, play therapy, or sexual offender/victim) highly desired. Experience on an in-patient psychiatric unit or residential program preferred Demonstrate knowledge of normal growth and development of the population served.
