Licensure
✓Therapist may provide clinical supervision to non-independently licensed mental health staff upon obtaining "Supervisor" status for licensure.
✓Licensed in the state of Ohio as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) or Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) or Independently Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (IMFT)
Certifications
✓As applicable to job duties, maintain current certification in First Aid and CPR.
Education
✓Master's degree in a Mental Health field.
Qualifications
✓Excellent written and verbal communication skills with children, parents, and professionals to provide information regarding the children's needs and strengths and the development of appropriate services.
✓Ability to function independently as necessary, in handling stressful or emergency situations with clients, ability to provide input to Therapist I and Therapist II and ability to seek clinical supervision when needed.
✓Physical abilities required include sufficient mobility, sufficient strength to lift/carry a young child, language skills, ability to utilize emergency physical interventions, and to perform written paperwork (manual or automated).
✓Knowledge of, and use of, The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5 or subsequent revisions).

About the role

The therapist plans and delivers outcome-effective clinical, case coordination, intervention, prevention, and/or consultation mental health services to pediatrics and their parents, and the agencies that serve them. Services are provided both within this agency and in the community, in families' homes, in schools, and other social service agencies necessitating transportation.
