Adventist HealthCare Rehabilitation seeks to hire a Therapy Tech for our Inpatient Rehab Department in Rockville, who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing. As a Therapy Technician in you will:
- Transport patients to/from therapy sessions
- Assist staff with patient treatment plans under the direct supervision of a licensed therapist.
- Prepare and clean-up therapy gym, space, and equipment before and after therapy sessions.
- Build and disseminate wheelchair, cushion, and accessories; perform wheelchair repair.
- Make modifications to the therapy schedule Qualifications include:
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Basic computer skill/proficiency with Word and Excel - required.
- Previous experience in a therapy/rehab setting or healthcare setting preferred
- Enthusiastic, driven individual; works well in team environment; self-motivated * Students who are looking to advance to PT or PA school a plus Work
Employment Type: Per Diem Hours per Week: 16 hrs/week Typical
Candidate should have weekday AND weekend availability. Hours: 8:00am to 6:00pm Shift Type: Day Weekend Requirement: 2 weekend days per month Holiday
Two major holidays (at least one winter holiday) per year. On-Call: No Shift Differential Eligible: No
