Responsibilities TMC Bonham Hospital is a 25-bed critical access hospital that includes both primary care and specialty physicians. The Critical Access Hospital, offering both inpatient and outpatient services along with 24-hour emergency services. The Critical Access Hospital (CAH) Program was established to assure access to healthcare services for rural residents.
The program provides rural acute care hospitals with a range of opportunities for service enhancement and quality of care improvement. Quality healthcare and patient safety is our goal. Develop and implement facility-wide infection prevention and control measures to protect patients, staff and visitors elative to antimicrobial stewardship, product evaluation, business planning, and development of surveillance and prevention systems for non-infectious events.
Monitor patient care for compliance with established standards and investigates known or suspected sources of infections to determine the source and ensure control. Resolve escalated issues arising from operations in cooperation with applicable departments. Provide applicable reporting metrics relative to infection control and prevention.
Identify, prevent and control outbreaks of communicable diseases. collect, analyze and interpret data related to infectious diseases and report when necessary to local, state and federal authorities, as well as to internal committees.
