This position performs routine maintenance, repairs, inspections, and general upkeep to support a safe, functional, and efficient environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Following traffic laws, planning routes, and meeting patient appointments. Performing daily maintenance, such as refueling, cleaning, and checking for any damage. Maintaining mileage, fuel, and toll expenses if needed.

Ensuring the safety of patients, and reporting any accidents or vehicle issues. Communicating with case management and administration. Maintain a professional image and attitude in regard to clients, visitors and co‐workers.

Must be physically able to step up and down steps, safely secure clients for transport, lift up to 50 lbs, and transport wheelchair patients on paved and unpaved surfaces. Following all state and national safety regulations.

Preferred High school diploma or equivalent required. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established protocols and procedures.

Ability to lift and move patients with assistance. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays. Compassionate and patient‐centered approach to care.

Perform daily inspections of all equipment rooms, HVAC systems, and mechanical systems. Perform monthly, semi-annual, and annual preventive maintenance on all essential equipment. Complete daily work orders received from the hospital Help Desk.

Maintain comprehensive records of all preventive maintenance, life safety equipment, and all required inspections. Pick up necessary materials for job completion from local lumber or hardware stores. Must be available to be on-call after normal work hours on a weekly rotation basis.

Valid CA Driver License Clean DMV report Valid car insurance Preferred education and experience Knowledge of methods and common practices used in building maintenance, including basic knowledge of the following trades: 3 years of building maintenance experience in a hospital setting; Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing, Painting, HVAC, Mechanical Repairs, and Grounds; Correct use of hand and power tools; Ability to read standard blueprints; General knowledge of the NFPA 101 regarding Fire/Life Safety
