✓Requirements
Certifications
✓A DOT equivalent physical examination to obtain and maintain a Medical Examiner’s Certification, as well as submit a periodic drug screening, as defined by applicable federal, state, and VH policies, is required.
✓Trauma Informed Care Training is required by 8/7/2027 for all employees hired on or before 6/7/2026, and within 12 months of hire for employees hired after 6/7/2026.
✓Suicide and Crisis Intervention Training is required by 8/7/2027 for all employees hired on or before 6/7/2026, and within 12 months of hire for employees hired after 6/7/2026.
✓BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart ‘Healthcare Provider’ (HCP) - AHA approved is required within 60 days of hire.
✓Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is required by 8/6/2026 for all employees hired on or before 6/7/2026, and within 60 days of hire for all employees hired after 6/7/2026.
✓First Aid is required by 8/6/2026 for all employees hired on or before 6/7/2026, and within 60 days of hire for all employees hired after 6/7/2026.
✓Emergency Medical Vehicle Operator Certification (EMVO) is required by 6/7/2027 for all employees hired on or before 6/7/2026, and within 12 months of hire for employees hired after 6/7/2026.
