✓Valid Ohio Respiratory Care License
✓Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist Credential through NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care)
Certifications
✓Area of study or major: Respiratory Care or NBRC approved registry requirements
✓BLS
✓ACLS within 90 days of new hire or based upon course availability
✓PALS certification required within 6 months of hire or based upon course availability
Education
✓Minimum Level of Education Required: Associate degree
✓Type of degree: Applied Science or Equivalent
Bachelor’s degree preferred
About the role
The Respiratory Therapist functions in a multi-faceted role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence in the practice of respiratory care. The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for the respiratory assessment, therapeutic treatment, evaluation, testing, education, and communication for all patient populations served.
