✓You’ll need
Certifications
✓Registration or registry eligible by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Sonography (S).
✓New graduates must be registered with ARDMS or ARRT within two years of graduation
✓all other personnel must be registered with ARDMS or ARRT within one year of hire.
✓If abdomen (AB) certified, registration as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) by the ARDMS or registration in Vascular Sonography (VS) by the ARRT
✓If vascular (RVT) certified, registration as a Registered Abdomen Technologist (AB) by the ARMDS
✓Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Education
✓Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Ultrasound program.
