- Job DutiesPerforms diagnostic sonographic examinations utilizing sonographic equipment to locate, evaluate and record criticalfunctional, pathological and anatomical data under the direction of the Medical Director. ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions
- Technologist will be required to perform invasive and noninvasive procedures, utilize sterile techniques when necessary, and operate complex imaging equipment under the direction of the Director and/or Manager.
- Participates in weekend schedule coverage, must participates in the on call schedule where applicable. Covers additionalshifts based on the department need.
- Follow scanning protocols as established by the radiologist.
- Initiates life support measures as appropriate.
- Demonstrate knowledge of department and notifies Bio-Med and other service engineers of equipment issues
- Reviews image quality and forwards timely to PACS. Performs and logs QA/QC for equipment in use.
- Staff orientation, onboarding, training and development.
- Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory training.
- Collects and document appropriate patient history. Maintains patient confidentiality through HIPPA requirements.
- Preparation for the Joint Commission, ACR, Stericycle Inspections and knowledge of regulatory requirements.
- All other duties as assigned. QualificationsExperience Requirements2 years specialized training requiredEducation RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED requiredCertificateVocational Training; Graduate of Ultrasound Certificate Program requiredOne year clinical ultrasound experience preferredARDMS Certified required at time of hireAdditional Details:**Graduate from a two-year cardiovascular technologist program****Completion of formal education and/or training in vascular technology**Certification/LicensureRegistered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or RVS (CCI) requiredBasic Life Support (BLS) required UFJPI is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Drug Free Workplace
