Certifications
Licensure, Registry or Certification: Registered or registry eligible with ARRT or ARDMS registration preferred.
Education
✓Education: High School graduate or equivalent and completion of an approved program for medical Ultrasound Technology.
Qualifications
✓Personal Job-Related Skills: Knowledge of ultrasound technology and equipment and effective oral and written communication skills.
✓Physical and Mental Requirement: Duties of the position require moderate standing, walking, twisting, reaching, and handling of instruments and equipment.
✓Lifting up to 50 pounds and occasional heavy lifting, including lifting and supporting patients that may suddenly become weak or helpless.
✓The Ultrasound Technologist must follows safety scanning measures to ensure that the technologist does not strain themselves while scanning.
✓Flexibility to work overtime as needed as well as on-call duty.
✓Displays a good understanding of age-related developmental issues of pediatric patients and geriatric patients.
Prior Work Experience: Experience as a Radiologic Technologist and/or Sonographer preferred.
