$36.00 - $45.72 Hourly This position exists in the Radiology Department and involves responsibility for performing diagnostic medical examinations of patients using real-time ultrasound imaging and duplex Doppler ultrasound. The work is performed under the general direction of a Radiologist, with leeway allowed for exercising independent judgment in carrying out technical details of the work. The incumbent performs related work as required.

Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures in accordance with accepted protocols as directed by Radiologist, evaluating images for technical and diagnostic quality. Instruct patients regarding procedures to ensure cooperation and optimum test results. Maintain equipment and work area to ensure cleanliness, safety, and readiness for procedures.
Follow prescribed safety standards in operating equipment to ensure patient and staff safety. Maintain and record appropriate documentation regarding procedures according to established protocols. Assist with training and supervision of student interns as needed.
