Certifications
✓At Salem Hospital, all sonographers have been registered through the field's gold-standard licensing body — the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) and collectively hold more than 50 specialty credentials.
✓Imaging specialty - Abdomen required within one year of hire from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
✓Imaging specialty - Ob/Gyn required within one year of hire from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).

What you’ll do
Perform a variety ofPerform a variety of ultrasound exams, including general (abdomen, pelvic, OB), small parts, and breast studies
Assist radiologists with invasiveAssist radiologists with invasive procedures, ensuring proper use of supplies, equipment, and safety protocols
Tailor imaging techniques toTailor imaging techniques to meet the needs of pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patients while maintaining exam quality
Analyze images for completenessAnalyze images for completeness, gather additional views as needed, and provide thorough documentation with proper patient identification and annotation
Correlate sonographic findings withCorrelate sonographic findings with clinical history and prior imaging to assist in diagnosis
