Job Overview: Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager or delegate, assists in the planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating the activities in the nursing station by performing clerical and receptionist duties and maintaining the physical environment of the area.

Shift- 3:00pm-11:00pm Monday-Friday with every other weekend and holiday Full Time- Evening
Always identifies correct patient charts and reports before filing; verifies that all information is correct and takes corrective action when necessary Ensures accuracy at all times Demonstrates a thorough working knowledge of medical and pharmaceutical terminology; asks questions to clarify misunderstandings Documents patients’ allergies in appropriate forms Ensures a safe environment in aspects of care, equipment and treatment Maintains confidentiality of patient information at all times; maintains patient privacy at all times Provides assistance to staff in the organized workflow of daily unit operations Secures needed unit services as directed such as maintenance, security, housekeeping Understands the importance of communication Follows through on messages timely and to the appropriate staff member Maintains communication with Admitting Department and cooperates with room assignments Notifies nurse upon arrival of an admission Assists nurses by picking up and delivering, specimens, medications, charts, requisitions, etc.
