Licensure
✓Certification by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Training Council, in accordance with State Law (23-23-40) is required.
Certifications
✓Certification by the Department of Public Safety, in accordance with Section 23-6-430 of the 1976 South Carolina Code of Laws.
Education
✓A high school diploma.
✓Some positons require a commercial driver's license. (Public Safety Officer) A high school diploma.

About the role

Under general supervision is responsible to the Shift Lieutenant of the uniform force and in his absence the Shift Sergeant for the protection of life and property at the Medical University Of South Carolina, enforces the laws of the state of South Carolina.
