US:NV:Carson City Urgent Care Carson Per Diem Day Shift Summary Under the direction of the registered nurse, Advanced Practice Clinicians or Physician, the technician will provide supportive care to the Urgent Cares. Responsible for assisting providers and nurses with patient care, environmental and organizational tasks, while providing information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from the clinic services.
Qualifications Required: Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers Certification or obtain within 14 days of hire Current State of Nevada Office Laboratory Assistance Licensure or obtain within 6 months of hire
Maintains professional competence through formal education, workshops and unit specific education. Maintains current education file. Attends 80% or greater staff meetings, review and initials those meeting minutes not attended.
Completes unit mandatory education and annual employee health requirements. Competently performs patient care under the direction of a registered nurse and/or Provider, identifies deviations from norm, and reports findings in a timely and appropriate manner. Demonstrates ability to work effectively as a multi-disciplinary team member, supports and assists members in all activities.
Able to act independently and make decisions under stress as necessary. Performs technical duties according to established protocols for each location. Performs intake of patients, runs POC testing, maintain laboratory records/laboratory area, assists in wound care needs, and splinting needs of patients as ordered by provider.
Orders supplies as needed for clinic Demonstrates working knowledge of all hospital IT systems necessary to accomplish daily tasks, seeking additional training if needed. Performs other related duties as assigned.
