✓Requirements
Licensure
✓As LVN, must be licensed with the Board of Nursing for the State of Texas.
Certifications
✓CPR Certification.
As Medical Assistant, certification as Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred or successfully complete certification within 6 months of hire
Education
✓High school diploma or equivalent.
✓For LVN position, graduate of an accredited LVN school of nursing required.
For Medical Assistant position, graduate of an Accredited Medical Assistant Program preferred.
Qualifications
✓Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
✓Ability to deal with staff, physicians, visitors, vendors, patients and the public in a tactful and pleasant manner
✓Must work harmoniously in a team setting
✓High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations
✓Must be organized, a self-starter and must have an eye for detail and accuracy
✓Ability to understand, apply and carry out written or verbal orders.
✓Ability to recognize problems and respond appropriately.
✓Uses independent judgment and strong critical thinking skills
✓Must have good working knowledge of computer systems with emphasis on Word, Excel, billing systems and other programs related to the position. Ability to operate basic office equipment such as telephones, computers, fax and copy machines
