Certifications
✓Advanced-level certification by American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS, RDMS, RVT or RVS) required upon hire or Registered Vascular Specialist by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained within 6 months if candidate has experience or must obtain within 1 year if
✓BLS/CPR required upon hire or obtain within 30 days of hire.
Education
✓High School diploma or equivalent required.
✓Technical Diploma in Radiologic Technology or Sonography required.
Associate’s Degree in Applied Science in Radiography/Sonography/Other related field or Bachelor’s Degree in Science/Radiography/Sonography/Other related field preferred.
Qualifications
✓This is a safety sensitive position.*
✓Minimum of one year (1) experience as a staff technologist or tech extern
✓Strong knowledge of vascular anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
✓Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
✓Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team
✓Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skills
✓Comfortable working with diverse patient population
✓Must be able to work in a fast paced department within the hospital.
✓Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and on-call rotations if required. (One-hour response time for callback.)
✓Must be knowledgeable in cross-sectional anatomy and medical terminology as well as possess General Ultrasound and or Vascular Ultrasound skills. Obtain a general understanding of other special procedures that are performed within the department.
3+ years’ experience in ultrasound or sonography preferred
Proficiency with vascular ultrasound equipment and familiarity with ultrasound protocols. preferred
