Growing together As Vision Sr. Product Manager, you will be responsible for leading the strategy, design, and execution of routine vision benefits and associated discount programs administered by multiple vendors. This role is accountable for delivering a cohesive, compliant, and high-performing member experience across a complex and growing portfolio of supplemental benefits.

You will partner closely with cross-functional leaders, including Product, Operations, Technology, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and internal and external vendors, to define program strategy, drive execution, and ensure alignment to business goals, regulatory requirements, and member needs. Success in this role will be based on your ability to think strategically while managing day-to-day execution, synthesize complex information to drive clear decisions, and lead through influence in a highly matrixed environment.

This role operates in a highly regulated environment and requires strong judgment, governance leadership, and the ability to balance member experience, compliance, operational feasibility, and financial outcomes-particularly as the organization adapts to CMS changes. Lead strategy development and execution across the vision benefit portfolio, ensuring alignment to enterprise goals and evolving market and regulatory dynamics Serve as the end-to-end product owner across benefit design, operational execution, and ongoing optimization Define and evolve the end-to-end member experience across digital, call center, and vendor channels, driving a seamless and intuitive experience Lead complex, cross-functional initiatives, including regulatory response efforts (e.g., CMS clarification on out-of-network benefit access), ensuring compliant and scalable solutions Establish program goals and performance metrics across benefit utilization, spend, and member experience; partner with analytics and finance to monitor performance and inform decisions Own vendor strategy and performance management across key partners, including escalation management and resolution of high-impact issues Lead cross-functional alignment where business objectives, regulatory requirements, and operational constraints intersect, clearly articulating trade-offs to stakeholders to drive decisions Partner with internal teams to support successful plan year launches and ongoing program evolution Proactively monitor and mitigate emerging risks, operational challenges, and member experience issues, and lead coordinated responses to maintain program performance Serve as a subject matter expert on complex benefit design, eligibility rules, and compliance, providing guidance to leadership and partners You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.

Required

5+ years of experience in product management, program management, or strategy within a complex, matrixed environment Experience operating in a highly regulated environment, with demonstrated ability to interpret and operationalize regulatory requirements Experience managing vendor relationships, including performance oversight and issue resolution Experience developing executive-level communications and presenting to senior leadership Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders across Product, Operations, Compliance, Legal, and Technology Proven solid analytical skills and ability to interpret data across utilization, financial performance, and member experience metrics Demonstrated ability to drive execution with strong project management discipline and organizational rigor Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, navigate ambiguity, and drive results in a fast-paced environment

Experience in Medicare Advantage and/or supplemental benefits (e.g., vision benefits or similar programs) Experience supporting CMS regulatory changes or large-scale compliance initiatives (e.g., Final Rule) Experience leveraging data and analytics to drive strategic decision-making and continuous program optimization, including retention and engagement outcomes Experience leveraging AI and automation tools to streamline workflows, reduce manual effort, and improve operational efficiency across complex business processes Solid understanding of member engagement strategies Proven ability to drive change, build consensus, and influence decisions across all levels of the organization *All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc.

The salary for this role will range from $112,700 - $193,200 annually based on full-time employment.
