Education
✓Master’s Degree in Nursing, Health Care Administration, or related field required. Doctoral degree strongly preferred.
✓If Master’s is not in Nursing, Bachelor’s in Nursing required.
✓Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Qualifications
✓Eight to ten years of progressive leadership experience in nursing, hospital operations, and administration.
✓Experience in hospital administration reflecting increasing executive-level responsibilities.
✓Previous experience as a CNO strongly preferred but not required.
✓Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, budgeting, healthcare economics, patient safety, and quality improvement.
✓Ability to create a vision and strategic direction for nursing aligned with organizational goals.
✓Proven ability to build, mentor, and retain high performing nurse leaders.
✓Strong financial acumen and understanding of health care economics.
✓Ability to work effectively in complex academic and clinical settings.
✓Experience in managing clinical services, productivity enhancement, new program development, and continuous quality improvement.
✓Active involvement in professional organizations, presentations, and publications.
