Yoga Instructor

Responsibilities Aspen Grove Behavioral Hospital is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable YOGA INSTRUCTOR to join our team on the weekends. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in yoga practices, body mechanics, and an understanding of anatomy and physiology. As a Yoga Instructor, you will lead classes that promote physical fitness, mental well-being, and a sense of community among participants.

10:00am - 2:00pm (8) hours per week - Weekends (Sat & Sun) shift Work Location: In-person @ 1350 East 750 North, Orem, Utah Your goals & objectives include: Conduct engaging and safe yoga classes tailored to various skill levels, including beginners and advanced practitioners. Demonstrate proper techniques and postures while providing modifications to accommodate individual needs. Educate participants on the principles of body mechanics, anatomy, and physiology as they relate to yoga practice.

Foster a welcoming atmosphere that encourages student interaction and community building. Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their practice. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the studio space before and after classes.

Qualifications Your qualifications include: Certification as a Yoga Instructor from a recognized program (200-hour minimum preferred). Knowledge of body mechanics, anatomy, and physiology is essential for ensuring safe practice. Experience in teaching various styles of yoga; additional skills in Pilates or cycle instruction are a plus.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire participants. Previous experience in a gym or health club setting is advantageous. Background in personal training or sports coaching is beneficial but not required.
