O Minor electrical repairs such as: preferred
Ballast change out preferred
Replaces light switches preferred
Replaces receptacles preferred

Exit light repairs preferred
O Minor Mechanical/HVAC repairs such as: preferred
Unstops clogged drains, commodes preferred
Rebuild flush valves preferred
Rebuilds medical gas outlets preferred
Rebuilds sink faucet preferred
Rebuilds mixing valves on tubs/showers preferred
Adjust/replace thermostat preferred
Replace thru wall unit preferred
Clean diffuser preferred
O Minor cosmetic repairs such as: preferred
Patch/touch up wallpaper/paint preferred
Replace cove base preferred
Replace ceiling tiles preferred
Repair vertical blinds preferred
Repair casework preferred
Room accessories installed properly (towel racks, soap dispensers, shelves, etc.) preferred
O Nurse call repairs such as: preferred
Replaces patient stations/toilet buttons preferred
Bed communication, cord replacement preferred
Pillow speaker replacement preferred
Reset nurse call system preferred
O Door and accessories repairs such as: preferred
Repair/replaces passage sets preferred
Repair/replace automatic closures preferred
Adjust strike plates and achieve positive latching preferred
Adjust fire doors to insure proper closure preferred
Repair/replace door hinges preferred
Preventive maintenance is performed and documented to ensure that regulatory issues are being adhered to preferred
O All rated doors in assigned area achieve positive latching (i.e. fire doors, patient room door) preferred
O Medical gas alarm panels at nurse's station are checked to ensure audible and visual alarms are operating properly preferred
O All exit lights in assigned area are operational to help ensure that means of egress is easily identified in the event of an emergency preferred
O All stained, missing and broken ceiling tiles are replaced daily in assigned area preferred
O Electrical/mechanical rooms are kept neat and orderly with no storage in assigned area preferred
O Hard hats, safety glasses, and other PPE devices are used as required by departmental policies and per OSHA regulations preferred
O Special PPE is worn to meet specific need as required by the task being performed preferred
O Permits are obtained and enforced per hospital policies preferred
O Disinfect contaminated tools preferred
O Surrounding areas are cleaned and maintained per hospital policies preferred
O Follow Isolation Room procedures preferred
O Follow hand washing policies preferred
Supplies are obtained through proper channels, and keeps supplies and stock neat and orderly preferred
Other duties as assigned preferred
Must be able to make decisions clearly and quickly preferred
Must be able to withstand many hours of standing, walking, stooping, bending, lifting and moving equipment preferred
Manual dexterity, good eye to hand coordination with adequate vision preferred
Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently preferred
Must be able to work as a team member with peers and other departments preferred
Must be able to cope with agitated/hostile customers and respond calmly preferred
Must be able to climb/stand on ladders to work in ceilings preferred
Must be able to lift 50 pounds preferred
