Strong customer service skills Experience handling difficult situations and de-escalation Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Position Overview The Guest Relations/Patient Family Service Specialist provides high-level customer service support to patients, families, and visitors throughout Children's Hospital Colorado facilities. This role is responsible for supporting the Patient and Family Experience while ensuring visitors are properly screened, approved, and guided to their destination.
Responsibilities Greet and direct patients, families, and visitors Perform visitor check-in and health screening processes Utilize the Visitor Management System to verify visitor status and issue visitor badges Access Epic to confirm visitor authorization Assist patients and families with wayfinding throughout the hospital Professionally de-escalate difficult situations involving patients, visitors, and family members Maintain the orderly and efficient operation of the hospital's Visitor Management Program Support a positive patient and family experience across the organization Ideal Candidate Customer-service focused Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Comfortable working in a hospital environment Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation abilities Able to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced setting Experience working with patients, families, or visitors in healthcare or hospitality settings preferred Children's Hospital Colorado is seeking professionals who excel in customer service, remain calm under pressure, and are passionate about creating a positive experience for patients, families, and visitors.
