Nights, 3x12hrs Hours: 36 hrs/wk Start Date: Nov 22, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 3 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring 2 years of acute inpatient PCU experience and a KY or compact RN license. Details 48-bed Cardiac PCU within a hospital setting Patient ratio of 1:5 Treats cardiac diagnoses including PCI and pacemaker patients Administers cardiac medications such as Cardizem, amiodarone, and heparin Performs skills including IV therapy, PCA, feeding tubes, wound vac care, CBI, trach care, and central line care RN must read telemetry and titrate medications accordingly Uses Epic EMR Night shift schedule from 6:45p-7:15a 36 hours per week across 3 shifts, 12 hours per shift Every other weekend required per unit need Supported by an Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) Requirements Active KY or Compact RN license required Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Minimum 2 years of acute inpatient PCU experience required Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required Epic EMR experience required Additional Information Responsible for patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation Provides patient and family education throughout care and at discharge Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff and serves as a mentor/preceptor Participates in quality, safety, and service improvement initiatives Works within a Practice Governance framework emphasizing evidence-based practice No local rate drop for candidates residing in the area
