To ensure that Cardiology services rendered (the evaluation and treatment of patients) are completed in a timely, accurate, and reliable manner. Those serviced include inpatients and outpatients, UHS staff and employees, as well as affiliated UHSH community groups as needed. Priority is given to services which directly affect patients and supervised staff.
Education/ExperienceMinimum Required:High School Diploma or equivalentPreferred:Graduation from an accredited school for Cardiac Ultrasonography. License/CertificationMinimum Required:Certification from ARDMS or CCI is required. CPR Certification within 3 months of hire.
Preferred:Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) via the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS). Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) via the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).#IND1 Work EnvironmentWork performed in indoor climate controlled environments throughout the hospital. Work includes pushing ultrasound and ECG equipment within the hospital, transporting patients in wheelchairs or on stretchers, and positioning patients for studies.
