The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Radiologic Technologist is a highly skilled member of the cardiac procedural team who assists physicians with complex interventional cardiovascular and electrophysiology procedures. This role operates fluoroscopic and ultrasound equipment, manages devices and supplies, and ensures adherence to radiation safety and quality control standards.

This role also provides training and guidance to staff and students, helping maintain high standards of care and procedural excellence.

EducationHigh School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE), or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate requiredGraduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology required Experience1 year of experience in a cardiac catheterization lab requiredAnnual demonstration of proficient cath lab radiologic technologist proficiency requiredKnowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and arrhythmia recognition or completed the basic arrhythmia course and passed the exam within 12 month of hire requiredLicenses and CertificationsBLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) requiredCRT - State of California Certified Radiologic Technologist requiredCRTFP - State of California Radiologic Tech Fluoroscopy Permit requiredARRT - American Registry Radiologic Technologists required​One of the following is preferred:ARRT(VI) - ARRT Vascular Interventional RadiographyARRT(CI) - ARRT Cardiac InterventionalARRT(CVI) - ARRT Cardiac-Vascular Intervention (still valid but not available for new examinees)RCIS - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive SpecialistRCES - Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist Disclaimers: •
