Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist, Cardiac Cath Lab. The technologist supports diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures in an acute care setting, providing equipment preparation, sterile-field maintenance, procedural assistance, and patient safety monitoring. The position requires a minimum of one year of experience and includes day shifts, weekend coverage, and rotating on-call responsibilities.
Job Details Required
Minimum one year of experience; active professional license required at the time of application; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification, and Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification. Required experience includes diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization, adult diagnostic catheterizations, cardiac implant closure device procedures, cardiac stent placement, intra-aortic balloon pump placement and removal, interpretation of dysrhythmias, left and right heart catheterization, Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI), Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA), rotablator atherectomy, scrub procedures, equipment setup, recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias, isolation precautions, personal protective equipment, sterile technique, and room circulation.
Cerner charting experience is required.
Day shift with 12-hour shifts and a minimum of 48 hours per week. Additional Information: The role supports adult and geriatric patients in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization settings. Rotating on-call coverage is required as needed.
Weekend coverage includes two to three weekends per assignment. Flu vaccination is required, with medical or religious exemptions permitted. The position includes experience with cardiac catheterization procedures and a high-acuity acute care environment.
