We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to provide safe, competent respiratory care across a variety of patient populations, including emergency, neonatal, pediatric, geriatric, and critical care. ResponsibilitiesProvide respiratory care according to physician orders and department protocols. Assess patients' respiratory status and recommend appropriate therapeutic interventions.
Initiate, maintain, and monitor mechanical ventilation. Perform airway management, including bag-mask ventilation, suctioning, and artificial airway care. Assist with intubation procedures as appropriate.
Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) draws. Administer respiratory medications and treatments. Monitor ventilator parameters and interpret flow-volume and pressure-volume curves.
Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain respiratory care equipment. Document all respiratory care procedures accurately and completely. Communicate patient status effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Participate in patient rounds, in-services, training, and quality improvement activities. Provide care appropriate to neonatal, pediatric, adult, geriatric, and critical-care patients. Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, confidentiality, and regulatory requirements.
RequirementsGraduate of a COARC-approved Respiratory Care Program. CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist) credential through NBRC required. BLS certification required; must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
NRP certification required; must be obtained within 6 months of hire. Minimum 1 year of hospital-based respiratory therapy experience. Pulmonary diagnostics experience preferred.
Cardiac diagnostics experience, including EKG, Holter/Event Monitoring, and cardiac stress testing, preferred. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Must be able to successfully complete required background screening, drug screening, and employee health requirements.
