The Clinical Manager promotes institutional philosophy, goals, and objectives and participates in the development, implementation, and supervision of the Department of Diagnostic Imaging & Radiology policies, procedures and programs. Provides direction to Imaging Supervisors, professional staff, and support staff with regard to policy adherence and current practice trends. Collects and evaluates data to assist in the measurement of departmental performance and trends and monitors the use of resources in accordance with departmental plans and budgets.
Establishes, reviews and revises departmental service delivery standards which are sensitive to patient, physician, staff, and other customer needs and coordinates all patient incident reviews, physician, patient, and staff complaints. Serves as consultant to internal and external sources for Diagnostic Imaging & Radiology services. Education/ExperienceMinimum Required:Three (3) years of supervisory experience in an imaging modalityAssociate's Degree in Business/Management, Radiologic Technology, or other Healthcare related field Preferred:Bachelor's Degree in Business/Management, Radiologic Technology, or other Healthcare related field Ten or more years of supervisory experience with demonstrated leadership ability.
License/CertificationMinimum Required:NYS license as Radiologic Technologist OR registration in one or more of the following imaging modalities:American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)Cardiovascular Credentialing international (CCI) as a Cardiac Sonographer OR Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) Work EnvironmentAll work is performed in two hospitals which consist of many rooms.
These are air conditioned as well as heated; areas are occasionally subject to fumes.
