Days, 4x12hrs Hours: 48 hrs/wk Start Date: Nov 23, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Critical Care Float Pool position requiring Epic EMR experience and prior travel nursing experience. Details Critical Care Float Pool role within a Level I trauma center Floats across multiple ICU environments including neuro/trauma SICU, MICU, CPS/VICU, CCU, and progressive critical care unit (PCCU) Also cares for ICU/PCC patients in the ED and PACU awaiting bed placement Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM Every other weekend required Rotating holiday coverage required 48-hour weekly schedules accepted for interested candidates Requirements Active NYS RN license required 2+ years of recent ICU experience required Previous travel nursing experience required Epic EMR experience required BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or RQI required Level I trauma center experience and float pool experience across varied ICUs highly desired Competency test required within 24 hours of consideration, completed via email No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months Additional Information Provide critical care nursing support across multiple ICU specialties as part of a float pool team Navy blue scrubs required Candidates must be comfortable managing complex ICU patients in varied care settings Facility only accepts medical exemptions for flu vaccination, not personal or religious declinations No more than 3 call-outs allowed within a 13-week contract period, with required make-up shifts No blocked scheduling permitted RTO must be requested at time of consideration Local candidates within a 50-mile radius from specific counties (Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington) are not eligible
