12H Day Start Date: 12/07/2026 Duration: 26 weeks Join a leading acute-care hospital in Nashville, TN, as a Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR). This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on complex cardiac procedures. As a CVOR RN, you will work 12-hour shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM, Monday through Friday, with additional call requirements for all travelers in cardiac surgery.
Please note that the unit cannot offer a block schedule, and call is required. You will need to scrub and circulate during cardiac surgeries, as this is a non-negotiable requirement for the position. This facility is a 1000+ bed hospital with a 56 bed OR (inpatient and outpatient) and 5 procedural rooms, classified as a Level 1 trauma center.
The patient population includes complex CABG, valve surgeries, repeat cardiac procedures, heart failure, ECMO, VAD, heart and lung transplants, PTE, cardiac trauma, and adult congenital cases. Note that the age range is adult; pediatric cases are handled separately. To qualify for this role, you must have a minimum of 2 years of CVOR OR experience and prior travel experience.
All travelers must be willing to take call (with 3 layers of call available 24/7) in addition to completing 3 x 12-hour shifts. You may float between ORs but not between locations. Orientation dates are available on 11/9, 11/16, 11/30, and 12/7.
