At which point all bids will be presented to the facility to review and select candidates. - The Nutritionist position will be required to review and evaluate the food service operation and nutrition components of childcare centers, after school programs, day care homes, adult day cares, and shelters participating in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) in the NYS Metropolitan Region. The Nutritionist position will conduct on-site program reviews to evaluate food service activities and provide training and technical assistance on CACFP record keeping, meal planning and program regulations to ensure compliance with Federal and State regulations.
The Nutritionist will approve or disapprove corrective action plans for implementation by organizations in a timely and effective manner. This position requires good organizational, communication, and time management skills and a professional approach to working with program staff and the public. Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office Programs are required.
Registered Dietitian Certification, by the Commission on Dietetic Registration is required for this position. This position will not supervise; monthly travel may be required.
