Location: Salem, VA Floor: Emergency Department General Information Tell us about the unit(s): Number of Beds: 27 Number of Staff – 50 RN/25 Medics Type of staff: Day Shift – 1 charge, 5 RN, 2-3 medics; increase by 4-5 RN at 11am; increase by 1-2 RN at 3pm Night Shift - 1 charge, 5 RN, 2-3 medics Type of equipment - EMR - Meditech Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for: Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
Must have completed 2-3 travel assignments Must have 2-3 years ER experience Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first. High acuity ERs, fast paced ERs with high volume Experience with patient ratios of 5:1 List typical procedures performed on unit(s): RSI, Sepsis interventions, Stroke protocol with tPA administration, central line placement, care of the psych patient, transfers to other facilities (EMTALA), Best personality Fit: Relaxed, easy going, friendly, team oriented, respectful.
