Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit. · Coordinates care planning with other disciplines. · Position renders individualized, age-specific and direct bedside nursing care based on the nursing process and patient needs. · Performs all aspects of clinical support for diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. · May assist with compilation and reporting of procedural information to benchmarking, regulatory, or accreditation agencies, as required. · Participates with all team members to provide and achieve optimal patient outcomes. · This position will perform a variety of roles, including monitoring, assisting the physician scrubbing procedures and using the pacing stimulator.
Special
Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work with team members are required. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with occasional periods of above-average pressure. Must be able to tolerate long periods of standing and wearing the additional weight of lead aprons during procedures.
Excellent customer service skills. Must have basic computer skills *This position has assigned “late stay” call to finish scheduled procedures during the week. No call on nights, holidays or weekends.*
6a-630p (12 hr Shifts) THE RN EP LAB FULL TIME DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE. MINIMUM
Nursing Degree from an accredited nursing school PREFERRED
BSN MINIMUM
A minimum of 1+ years Emergency Department, ICU or Procedural setting nursing experience may be considered. PREFERRED
At least one (1) year of prior Cardiac Cath/ EP Lab experience preferred. Hemodynamics experience preferred. Certification in specialty area of practice preferred.
Strongly preferred expr in CVICU or ICU or Min 2 years in Cardiac Stepdown. REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arizona. Meets the American Heart Association’s standards for Healthcare Provider Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) & Basic Life Support (BLS) and renews every two years.
