Day 4x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30) Start Date: 12/07/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Number of Openings: 1 Join a leading acute-care hospital in Albuquerque, NM, as an ER Holding Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department (ER). This is a contract position offering a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing essential care to patients transitioning from the Emergency Department to inpatient units. Key
Monitor and interpret telemetry, managing a variety of medical equipment. Handle frequent patient admissions and transfers in a high-volume setting. Maintain patient ratios of 1 RN to 4-5 patients in a 17-bed unit with up to 8 hall beds.
Provide relief charge as needed and float to adjacent units, including ICU and PCU.
1 year of experience as an RN required.
ACLS, BLS, NIH. COVID vaccination required (religious and medical exemptions accepted). No locals within 100 miles.
Pending licenses accepted. Additional Information: No holiday RTO for December starts; must work Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day for holiday pay. Facility is allowed to call off staff 3 times throughout a 13-week assignment.
New contracts and extensions must be at least 10 weeks. A 6-month break is required for any travelers who have worked 4 consecutive assignments or reached their one-year mark, whichever comes first.
