Approximately 36 hours per week

12-hour rotating shifts; days and/or nights based on departmental needs Coverage: Weekends and holidays required as scheduled Call: No call Healthcare Setting: On-site Emergency Department with medical-surgical float responsibilities Emergency Room RN Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Hawaii At least 1 year of recent registered nursing experience, preferably in emergency, medical-surgical, or critical access hospital settings Strong emergency nursing assessment, prioritization, and clinical decision-making skills Ability to float between the Emergency Department and medical-surgical units Strong EPIC electronic health record experience Ability to work rotating day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays Current certifications required for nursing practice and assignment compliance Emergency Department RN Responsibilities Provide safe, timely, and compassionate nursing care to Emergency Department patients Perform focused nursing assessments, monitor patient conditions, and identify changes requiring immediate intervention Prioritize care for patients with varying levels of acuity in a fast-paced emergency nursing environment Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established orders and clinical standards Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care Float to medical-surgical assignments as needed and provide comprehensive bedside nursing care Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes in EPIC Support continuity of care through patient education, discharge preparation, and effective handoff communication Apply now for this Hawaii travel nursing opportunity and join a collaborative healthcare team in Kapaau on the Big Island.
