Yale New Haven Health is seeking an experienced SICU Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment at a short-term acute care hospital and Level II Trauma Center. The RN will provide critical care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Responsibilities Assess, monitor, and care for critically ill surgical patients.
Monitor cardiac rhythms and manage dysrhythmias. Administer IV medications and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips. Manage arterial lines and provide central line care.
Care for ventilated patients and manage BiPAP/CPAP support. Perform ETT and nasotracheal suctioning as needed. Follow infection control and isolation precautions.
Float within the ICU cluster based on unit needs. Requirements Minimum 1 year of ICU nursing experience. ACLS and BLS certifications required.
Active Connecticut RN license required. Epic charting experience required. Patient ratio experience of approximately 1:2.
Teaching hospital experience and Level I or Level II trauma experience preferred. Travel experience is not required.
