  • On BonusUp to a $25,000 sign-on bonus for candidates who meet eligibility criteria.Schedule12-hour shifts; 7pm
  • 7am nights, every other weekend / 24hr and 36hr shifts open. What You’ll DoAssess, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care for a group of patientsServe as a primary or accountable nurse based on unit needsEducate patients and families on health promotion and disease managementSafely administer medications according to UHS policiesSupport effective resource utilization, including staffing, time, and suppliesComply with all nursing practice standards, regulatory requirements, and UHS policiesParticipate in Nursing Shared Governance, Unit Council, and improvement initiativesContribute to peer review, evidence‑based practice, and quality improvementProvide support and guidance to new employees and studentsPerform Charge Nurse or Shift Coordinator responsibilities when assignedEngage in ongoing professional development, continuing education, and mandatory trainingParticipate in the Clinical Ladder Program as your expertise growsWhat We’re Looking ForA compassionate, empathetic RN who values exceptional patient‑centered careAn open‑minded, eager‑to‑learn nurse who thrives in a high‑acuity CVICU environmentA strong team player who values communication, collaboration, and shared successA professional who upholds the New York State Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code of Ethics, and UHS standardsA flexible, accountable RN committed to excellence and continuous growthEducation & ExperienceMinimum Required:Graduate of an accredited School of NursingPreferred:Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory settingLicensure & CertificationsMinimum Required:Current New York State Registered Nurse LicensePreferred:CCRN certificationAdditional skills certifications as required (e.g., ACLS, PALS, TNCC) Work EnvironmentWork is performed in an office environment and patient care areas which require working in proximity to other employees and patients. Rooms are air conditioned and heated.Frequent walking, standing, bending and lifting.Fast paced environment with frequent interruptions.Exposure to equipment cleaning solutions and disinfectants.PPE (Eyewear, Masks, Face shields, Shoe covers, and Gloves) as required by UHS Hospitals Infection Control policies.Age of Patients ServedAll Age GroupsHIPAA Roles
